It all started when…
Founder of the brand, Nia Owens, handmakes each 100% natural & organic product in her own kitchen and wants it to be known that all orders are made and packaged with love. The Healthy Strands products help to transform and improve your every day hair issues. The company also provides also menʼs grooming products!
For majority of her life Nia has been creating hair and skin care products. One day she turned her hobby of seeking out the right hair care product into an internet sensation among women, men, and children alike! The official online store was launched in April of 2015 and business has been booming for Nia ever since.
After starting her natural hair journey over 10 years ago, Nia vowed to only use natural/organic products to maintain a healthy head of hair. With some minor setbacks and a few “big chops”
that didnʼt quite go as planned, healthy hair became her number one priority from then on. With that spirit in mind, Nia decided to take her hair journey to the next level by creating her own products and sharing them with family and friends. But she didnʼt stop there. She also wanted to help and inspire women around the world, so she took to social media with her hair care products, advice and tips.
When people caught wind of Niaʼs products, this quickly drew immediate interest and a plethora of questions in regards to obtaining similar healthy hair goals. The high demand from women on what to use on their hair and their childrenʼs hair, and from men on what could be used for both their hair and beards inspired Nia to construct her business, Healthy Strands.
